HI, I’M KATIE
I want to create beautiful pieces of jewelry that others reach for when they need a pick me up. I want to make people feel happy and beautiful when they wear my jewels.
I believe in the healing, energetic frequencies of natural minerals and metals, and the energy that I put into the pieces when I create them.
If a necklace can be a talisman to uplift someone or encourage them to keep going, that’s a win for me.
Each mineral has an energetic frequency that can be measured... pairing it to the area of your body that vibrates at the same frequency (chakras) can encourage energy to move and blockages to release. Some people are more sensitive to this movement than others.
I have experimented with this interest since I was young, when my dad introduced me to his extensive mineral collection. My obsession with natural elements started at a young age. I remember telling my best friend...if I was a crystal...I’d be a citrine! I hope that every piece I make is infused with positive energy and brings you what you need when you wear it.
MY INSPIRATION
M.H. Pike was a woman of great style, spunky attitude, and constant laughter.
She taught me to love others and to love myself...with famous lines like..."Honey, if you got it, FLAUNT IT!". She is my grandmother, my best friend, my muse, and my inspiration.
Inspired by Margaret Helen Pike, this line of found treasures combines my love of the American Indian culture, as well as all things vintage. Many of these pieces are made by me from vintage chain and findings, combined with unique minerals and crystals.
My goal in naming my business M.H.Pike’s was to honor my matriarchal roots, create fun pieces that bring other joy, and lastly to instill a sense of unique style into all of my pieces.
MEET APACHE
Apache is my sidekick. You’ll find him at almost every show I do and he makes frequent appearances in my Instagram stories. He’s been by my side throughout my journey and loves going to markets and shows with me.
My crystal obsession fueled the mineral dealer side of my business. I was already making the Tucson gem show a yearly buying trip for my jewelry, it quickly evolved from buying for myself and family, to showcasing my crystal obsession and knowledge that I have been cultivating my whole life. Share the knowledge!
This has been my greatest joy. Sourcing these spectacular specimens, and being able to share them with all of you! It is definitely the most fun part of my business.
